Last year, a young person was made homeless every hour in England and hundreds of young people spent at least one night on the streets.

This year we were part of the national YMCA Sleep Easy Week, where thousands of people across England and Wales were sponsored to spend just one night sleeping outside in order to raise vital funds for their local YMCA.

Sleep Easy Exeter took place in the grounds of historical Barnfield Crescent on Saturday 10th March and our brave participants raised over £30,000! The money that has been raised will be used to support young people who are transitioning from homelessness into a life of hope and success.

From purchasing essential items such as bedding, utensils and crockery, to giving residents vital support in areas including mental health, budgeting, employment and training, the money raised through Sleep Easy will stay locally within Greater Exeter.

We will share with you some of their stories over the next few months but for now, enjoy these photos from #SleepEasy18!
