Non Exec Director - Treasurer

In this voluntary role, you will join our Board of Non-Executive Directors as Treasurer and play a key part in overseeing and shaping the financial stewardship of YMCA Exeter.

We are seeking an individual with financial expertise, sound judgement and a heart for Christian mission. You will use your professional knowledge, experience and wisdom to help ensure that YMCA Exeter remains financially robust, well-governed and sustainable, so that our Christian mission continues to be realised through our daily work and ministry. As Treasurer, you will support the Board in understanding financial reporting, chair the Finance Committee, and provide strategic oversight of budgets, controls and risk management.

This role involves attending evening Board meetings, usually two per quarter throughout the calendar year, as well as chairing Finance Committee meetings and working alongside our professional accountants. This position is voluntary and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
