A comprehensive one-day, in-person training course delivered in Exeter that equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to carry out the role of a Fire Marshal or Fire Warden effectively. On completion, participants achieve the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals (RQF), a nationally recognised qualification regulated by Ofqual and valid for three years.

The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals is designed to provide essential underpinning knowledge for individuals who are appointed, or intend to be appointed, as Fire Marshals or Fire Wardens in the workplace. The course supports learners in understanding how to operate safely and effectively with regard to fire safety responsibilities.
Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical learning, participants will gain a clear understanding of fire risks, prevention measures and emergency procedures. The course explores how fires start and spread, the behaviour of people during fire emergencies, and the importance of swift, safe evacuations. Learners will also develop the knowledge required to support colleagues and visitors during an evacuation.
The training places strong emphasis on the role of the Fire Marshal, including identifying hazards, implementing fire control measures, and understanding the correct use of fire-fighting equipment. Legal duties and responsibilities relating to workplace fire safety are also covered to ensure compliance and best practice.
On successful completion, participants will receive a Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals, regulated by Ofqual and valid for three years, providing reassurance that training meets nationally recognised standards (RQF).
