About: Drugs and Alcohol Training
This course provides a practical and evidence-based understanding of substance misuse, supporting staff in recognising the signs and impacts of drug and alcohol use. Through discussion, case studies, and practical guidance, participants will develop the skills to respond appropriately to substance-related issues, prioritising safety and wellbeing for both themselves and the people they support.
The training explores a wide range of substances, including alcohol and emerging drugs, and examines the legal and health-related implications for workplaces and services. Participants will gain insights into harm reduction, overdose prevention and support options for individuals experiencing dependency on substance use.
