Making Room – Magnus’s Story

Meet Magnus

Magnus found a safe place to call home at YMCA Exeter’s Stage 1 housing back in 2023 and was able to receive valuable support to get back on his feet.

From there, he was able to reconnect with his passion for blacksmithing , alongside Sam, manager of our Community Projects. Now a Student at the University of Exeter, Magnus also volunteers his time teaching metalwork skills to current YMCA residents in our forge – a full-circle moment.
