Inspired by Potential – Meet Oliver, a bookkeeper 

Once homeless, this is where Oliver is today:

“YMCA Exeter helped me through my most difficult time. They gave me the gift of time and a place to live.  

Thanks to their support, I was able to train at Exeter College and get the qualifications I needed in order to move forward with my life. 

I’m now a qualified bookkeeper and for the last two years I’ve been working at YMCA Exeter in their finance team.  

From data entry to invoicing and dealing with the sales books, it’s great to work in a professional environment with a group of people who are very understanding and willing to help me through some of the more difficult times.”

Once homeless, Oliver is now working in the YMCA Exeter finance team as a bookkeeper, managing the day-to-day financial records of the charity.
