We use PayPal for making rent payments.

You don’t need to have a Paypal account for this!

After the first screen that asks for the payment amount, select the button that says “Pay by Debit or Credit Card”. This will bring you to a screen asking for payment details.

Please don’t ignore it if there is a problem with paying your rent.

Please get in touch and discuss whats happening with your support worker (if you’re in stage 1 or 2), or your tenancy worker (if you’re in Exwick, or Sidwell Studios).

If rent has been missed, we will ask you to fill out a rent repayment agreement. This ensures that everyone knows what rent you expect to pay.

YMCA Exeter operates a charitable donation Rent Bursary scheme that helps young people who are currently living in our Newcourt accommodation to be able to enter into full time employment.

This is because as your income from your employment increases, the amount you receive from Housing Benefit decreases.

Please speak with your support worker to find out more about this, and if this applies to you.

We have several rent calculators to help you estimate how changes to your income will impact your housing benefit and your top-up.

Find it by clicking the button below.

As we say goodbye to summer, we are also saying go As we say goodbye to summer, we are also saying goodbye to our incredible Ten:10 Volunteers - Hannah and Noa 😿

Hannah and Noa, both from Germany, have been volunteering at YMCA Exeter over the last year and have been an incredible support to residents and staff across our projects.

They also made sure to explore beautiful Devon and Cornwall while they were in the UK (here they are at Tintagel with two of our residents!)

Thank you Hannah and Noa for all of your incredible work, we wish you all the best for your next steps! ❤️

A supported home is a lifeline for thousands who need help to live independently.

At YMCA Exeter, we’re proud to build safe, affordable homes - with 95% of our residents working or in meaningful activity by Stage 3 or 4, a huge step up from the earlier stages.

Youth homelessness is at a record high: over 118,000 young people faced homelessness in 2024, costing the UK £8.5 billion annually. Yet 1 in 3 supported housing providers had to close schemes last year due to funding pressures, with 60% fearing future closures.

Our Supported Housing Pathway has a 100% success rate from Stage 2 to Stage 4 - helping young people move forward with confidence and independence.

“Owen, one of our residents, says: ‘Having a safe, affordable place to live plus support gave me the stability and motivation I needed to push towards my dream job.’”

A supported home starts a better future.
