A big thank you to everyone who tuned in to Devon County Council’s Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Committee meeting on Tuesday 13th June.
The public meeting was the next step in the discussions around the proposed plans by Devon County Council to cut the 18+ homelessness prevention fund which would have a devastating impact on vulnerable young people across Devon.
Our very own Joint CEO, Si Johns had two minutes to share his views. Have a listen:
There was plenty of lively discussion and we’d like to say a big thank you to all the Devon County Councillors who spoke up to challenge the removal of this essential funding.
No decisions were made during this meeting, but a further public meeting with councillors will be set up in the next few weeks to which substantially more scrutiny will be brought.
Please continue to pray with us that Devon County Council will listen to the vast majority of Devon who do not want these services to be cut.
